Common computer screen resolutions
I stumbled upon the statistics of usage of different screen resolution at Wikipedia. It it interesting for web and screen designer that the below three resolutions are the most common one as at 2012:
I didn't expect 1024x768 is still on the top three list as 1024 x 768 is of 15" LCD monitors. 15" LCD monitors were popular some years ago and should be out of order long time ago. It shows either there are still many 15" LCD working in good condition, or buyers of new monitor use lower resolution on their new monitors because 1024 x 768 provides larger text size, which is more comfortable to read.
