WinSCP– How to solve file/folder name display incorrect for Chinese or Unicode file name under WinSCP (SCP protocol)
If you have Chinese or other Unicode file or folders inside a remote server, it may display incorrectly under WinSCP using SCP protocol. This problem can be solved by forcing WinSCP to use UTF-8 to handle filenames:
1. On Menu bar, click Sessions – Sites – Site Manager.
2. Select a site, then click "Edit".

3. Click "Advanced..."
4. Under Environment, change "UTF-8 encoding for filenames" from "Auto" to "On"

5. Click OK. Click Save to save the site settings. Then re-connect. That should be fine.
