Comnet SIP trunk setup with Grandstream HT502 ATA (SIP)

The below procedure is tested based on firmware version 1.0.16.2
  1. Login to the web interface.
  2. Basic Settings
    1. Telnet Server: change from Yes to No to improve security.
    2. IP Address: 
      1. change to static IP. e.g. 192.168.0.20
      2. No need to setup DNS server to avoid auto update.
    3. Timezone: update per your actual need.
    4.  Device Mode: change from NAT to Bridge mode 
    5. Enable UPnP support: No
    6. Enable LAN DHCP: No
    7. LAN DHCP Base IP: change to a dummy IP range. e.g. 192.168.20.20
    8. Click Apply to save
    9. Then you can connect to the ATA using new IP address
  3. Advanced Settings
    1. Automatic Upgrade: No
      1. Click - Always Skip the Firmware Check
    2. Disable Direct IP Call: Yes (to improve security)
    3. NTP server: update as your need.
    4. Syslog Server: recommend for troubleshooting
      1. Syslog Level = DEBUG for troubleshooting
      2. Send SIP Log = Yes
  4. FXS PORT 1
    1. Account Active = Yes
    2. Primary SIP server = 202.0.179.3
    3. SIP Transport = UDP
    4. NAT Traversal = No
    5. SIP User ID = 852xxxxxxxx
    6. Authenticate ID = 852xxxxxxxx
    7. SIP Registration = Yes
    8. Allow Incoming SIP Messages from SIP Proxy = Yes  (to improve security)
  5. Apply and Update
    1. Remember to click Apply and Update for each page
  6. Backup Config
    1. Go to Advanced Settings
    2. Go to the very last row.
    3. You will find button for "Download Device Configuration" and "Download Device XML Configuration".
