Comnet SIP trunk setup with Grandstream HT502 ATA (SIP)
The below procedure is tested based on firmware version 1.0.16.2
- Login to the web interface.
- Basic Settings
- Telnet Server: change from Yes to No to improve security.
- IP Address:
- change to static IP. e.g. 192.168.0.20
- No need to setup DNS server to avoid auto update.
- Timezone: update per your actual need.
- Device Mode: change from NAT to Bridge mode
- Enable UPnP support: No
- Enable LAN DHCP: No
- LAN DHCP Base IP: change to a dummy IP range. e.g. 192.168.20.20
- Click Apply to save
- Then you can connect to the ATA using new IP address
- Advanced Settings
- Automatic Upgrade: No
- Click - Always Skip the Firmware Check
- Disable Direct IP Call: Yes (to improve security)
- NTP server: update as your need.
- Syslog Server: recommend for troubleshooting
- Syslog Level = DEBUG for troubleshooting
- Send SIP Log = Yes
- FXS PORT 1
- Account Active = Yes
- Primary SIP server = 202.0.179.3
- SIP Transport = UDP
- NAT Traversal = No
- SIP User ID = 852xxxxxxxx
- Authenticate ID = 852xxxxxxxx
- SIP Registration = Yes
- Allow Incoming SIP Messages from SIP Proxy = Yes (to improve security)
- Apply and Update
- Remember to click Apply and Update for each page
- Backup Config
- Go to Advanced Settings
- Go to the very last row.
- You will find button for "Download Device Configuration" and "Download Device XML Configuration".
