VPN to office and working long hours is not necessary

According to office, by using VPN back to office (always-on culture), working longer doesn't mean better efficiency.  Longer working hour is to compensate the below problems:

 useless meetings and emails
Reducing and eliminating meetings
 inadequate technology
frequent equipment and software upgrades
 disorganized or incompetent C-suites
C-suite leadership that emphasizes both the importance of not wasting time
 unclear decision-making authority
clear decision-making guidelines

Benefit of "down time"
The writer suggested that appropriate work hours can enhance personal lives, productivity, creativity, and ability to think strategically.
