How Avaya ARS/AAR works
Business Requirement:
In a same Avaya CM, we want some agents to have their caller ID disable by default when they dial an outbound call, while the others remain unchanged.
We can make use of COR (Class of Restriction), FRL, Partition-route-table, route-pattern to attend the requirement. We will setup a special route-pattern, so to insert "133" before making outboud calls. (113 is the dial pre-fix to disable caller ID in Hong Kong).
From Stanley:
1. first determine the COR of loginned agent / station (Class of Restriction) (e.g. 14 for a group of Special Agents)
2. refer to the COR, get the FRL (e.g. 3 for most agent; 4 for most admin/manager )
3. refer to the COR, get the "Time of Day Chart" (also called "partitioned-group-number", or PGN) (e.g. 1 for most agent, 2 for most admin staff, 3 for Special Agents)
4. refer to partition-route-table 1 (Route Index = 1), you can derive the route pattern (we can now know route pattern 5 is used for PGN=3 (Special Agents))
(Only Route Index =1 , or p1, is used. It is because only p1 is defined at ARS when dialed 9 (display ars analysis 9))
5. change route-pattern 5, insert the correct trunk group no. and FRL. You may also like to add "Inserted Digit" here.
From Internet:
Well if you do disp part 1, the PGN's along the top coorelate to the time of day entry in your COR's, the numbers going down the left side are your p's, meaning in your ars you would enter p1, p2, etc...., under the PGN & to the right of the p's, is where you would enter which route pattern to use, example, lets say COR 1 uses time of day 1, you want 011 calls to use route pattern 7, so you would have a 7 under PGN 1 on the first line
